The total length of the project is approximately 88 kilometers. The project includes a total of 25,827.5 meters of main-line bridges (including interchanges), comprising 76 bridges, which account for 28.7% of the total route length. Among these, there is 1 extra-large bridge measuring 1,177 meters, 72 large bridges totaling 24,389.5 meters, and 3 medium-sized bridges totaling 261 meters; additionally, there are 77 culverts. The project also features 20,387.5 meters of tunnels, including 2 extra-long tunnels totaling 13,555 meters, 2 long tunnels totaling 3,825 meters, and 4 medium- and short-length tunnels totaling 3,007.5 meters. The estimated total cost of the project is approximately 16.7 billion yuan.

Starting south of Maochen in Xiaonan District, the highway connects to Phase II of the Qiao-Xiao Expressway and features a branch line that links to the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway. The route heads westward, passing north of Bayi Industrial Park and south of Xiaogan South Station, crosses the Huan River, and then intersects with the Xiaohan-Ying Expressway. From there, it continues northwestward between Shahe River and Gepu Tan, then runs south of Yunmeng County, crosses the Fu River, and proceeds south of Sanhe, finally terminating north of the Yingcheng North Interchange, where it connects to the Wuhan Metropolitan Area Ring Expressway. The project adopts a six-lane dual-carriageway expressway standard. The total length of the route is approximately 53.8 kilometers, and the estimated total investment amounts to about 13.1 billion yuan.
