Product Introduction
LZ-FR eco-friendly asphalt flame retardant is a new-generation, environmentally friendly flame retardant developed by the company in recent years. It boasts advantages such as excellent flame-retardant performance, smoke suppression, non-toxicity, resistance to exudation, easy dispersibility, and superior thermal stability—making it fully compliant with the latest 2014 "Flame Retardant Additives for Modified Asphalt Mixtures" standard set forth by the transportation industry.
Product Advantages
The LZ-FR eco-friendly asphalt flame retardant primarily delivers its excellent flame-retardant performance through the following three mechanisms:
1. Heat-absorbing effect: It can absorb a portion of the heat released by the ignition source in a short period of time, thereby reducing the flame temperature.
2. Covering effect: Provides thermal insulation and prevents flammable gases from escaping outward, thereby achieving flame-retardant performance;
3. Non-combustible gas asphyxiation effect: When heated, the flame retardant decomposes to release non-combustible gases, diluting the concentration of flammable gases released from combustible materials below the lower flammability limit. At the same time, it also reduces the oxygen concentration in the combustion zone, effectively inhibiting the continuation of the fire and achieving a flame-retardant effect.
Applicable Conditions
1. This product demonstrates remarkable performance when used in asphalt, delivering excellent flame-retardant effects. When re-ignited, it self-extinguishes promptly and is highly resistant to reignition. Primarily designed for asphalt roadways inside tunnels, this product also stands out as one of the few halogen-free, environmentally friendly flame retardants available today—non-toxic and non-corrosive.
2. This product is directly added to the mixing plant for use. When applying, introduce it simultaneously as aggregates are fed into the system and asphalt begins to be released. For ease of use, the flame retardant can be pre-packaged in small plastic bags according to the designed mix proportions, allowing for convenient, whole-batch addition to the mixing plant.
