G320 from Xiangtang, Nanchang County to the west of Xinjian District The new mountain-section highway project starts at the intersection of the former National Highway 320 and Xingcheng Avenue in Xiangtang Town, Nanchang County, and runs through Nanchang County, Xiaolan Economic Development Zone, Houtian Township in Honggutan District, Liuhu Town, Shengmi Town, Shibuzhen Town in Xinjian District, and Xishan Town, finally ending in Longqiao Village, Xishan Town. The total length of the route is 49.106 kilometers, of which 25.561 kilometers are newly constructed sections, including one extra-large bridge measuring 3,852 meters, nine bridges of various sizes totaling 1,508 meters, one interchange-grade overpass, five separated grade separations, 89 culverts, and 19 pedestrian passages. The remaining 23.545 kilometers utilize existing old road sections.
The project generally runs east-west, starting at Linglan Road in Huangpu Town and ending at the planned Century Avenue. The project route has a total length of 26.938 kilometers. Specifically, the section from Huangpu Town to Sanjiao Town is designed to the standards of a first-class highway with four lanes in each direction, while the section from Sanjiao Town to the Huoju Development Zone is designed to the standards of a first-class highway with six lanes in each direction, also serving as an urban road. The design speed for both sections is 80 kilometers per hour. The entire project includes a total of 20 bridges spanning 13,732.5 meters (of which 14 are extra-large and large bridges totaling 13,500.5 meters, and 6 are medium- and small-sized bridges totaling 232 meters), as well as 37 culverts. The total bridge length accounts for 50.98% of the route’s total length. There is one separate underpass U-groove measuring 500 meters long, and one interchange. The main construction components of the project include subgrade and pavement works, bridge and tunnel works, intersection works, municipal engineering works, traffic signal and electronic police surveillance systems, and landscape greening works.
Xiangyi Accelerator Project
This project Starting from the Xiangyang Bypass Expressway and ending at the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway, the total length is approximately 144 kilometers. The Yichang section begins by seamlessly connecting to the Xiangyang section. The Yixiang Expressway’s Xiangyang section ends at the intersection with the planned Huaxi Road leading to the Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge. The route passes through Hekou Township in Yuan'an County, Maopingchang Town, Mingfeng Town, and Hualin Temple Town, as well as Yuquan Subdistrict in Dangyang City, Longquan Town and Xiaoxita Subdistrict in Yiling District. With a total length of 88.5 kilometers, the highway is constructed to the standards of a four-lane dual-carriageway expressway featuring a design speed of 100 km/h and a roadbed width of 26 meters. It includes a total of 25,611 linear meters of bridges (75 bridges) and 20,387 meters of tunnels (8 tunnels), resulting in a bridge-tunnel ratio of 55%. The project features six interchange flyovers (including two hub interchanges and four ramp interchanges). The total investment amounts to 16.3 billion yuan, and the planned construction period is four years.
